Amazing Sunrise!

For my first post I am presenting my idea of the perfect New Hampshire photograph. We took this in early October of last year at sunrise. We had woken up extremely early to pursue our obsession with photographing the states icon, the moose, and were headed up Route 3 towards the Canadian boarder. As the sun began to rise we passed Second Connecticut Lake and I caught a glimpse of this remarkable landscape. We immediately turned around and pulled into the access parking lot, grabbed our cameras and began snapping away. This photograph was the best one we captured and it is hard to put into words just how remarkable it was to take in this spectacular view. The lake was a still as could be and the mirrored effect that we captured was perfect. I recommend visiting this area to anyone who wants to experience true, natural beauty and has a passion for landscape photography. If you want to see this for yourself simple visit Pittsburg NH, the access parking lot is located off of Route 3 and is very easy to find. The area has a few other lakes and all of them contain magnificent views and peaceful settings. For more information on visiting the area check out Pittsburg New Hampshire's homepage.

  1. Hello!

I really like the topic of your blog and your page is so nicely set up! I like both the beautiful pictures and the blog's aesthetics themselves. Your About Me provides a great background of your hobby and shows what you hope to accomplish with your blog.

Your posts are very interesting so far. There is a lot of personal narrative and background information about the settings which makes it a fun read. I drove out of the way on a couple trips to drive the way of the Kancamangus Highway.

The only thing I have to say, and this is for the sake of actually critiquing rather than just posting about how awesome your page is, is that you could probably make the blog description more concise. You have a very extensive About Me and some of it is restated with your blog description. Maybe there is something else clever you could say?

    Great job.

  2. Great job with the blog. My family has owned land in New Hampshire since the 1940's and I've vacationed there my whole life. I can fully appreciate why you enjoy the state so much. I think your blog description is spot-on and tells the reader exactly what to expect in your blog so they can decide whether or not they want to read more.

Your self-description is also well done. It tells the reader about you but also relates to the theme of the blog and provides some credentials regarding why readers should believe what you write.

Your first post is very well thought out and well written. There are certainly ample opportunities for great photos in New Hampshire, and the one you include is no exception. It is good that you supply the reader with specific information about where the photo was taken incase they would like to visit.
